AMAZE-ing Agriculture for Kids of All Ages

Tuesday, April 14, 2009

EDMONTON, AB – Where does our food come from? How is it made? Learn all about this and more at Northlands AMAZE-ing Agriculture presented by Monsanto Imagine. Kids of all ages are invited to this free, family friendly event in Hall A of the Edmonton Expo Centre.

Come learn about farm life through live demonstrations such as hoof trimming, cow milking and auctioneering. Tour through an interactive maze and experience the worlds of poultry, dairy, beef, grains, pork, equine and little critters. Meet live animals!

New this year is the Earthcare Balloon, a 25 foot inflatable balloon of the earth. This giant structure will highlight local and internationally sourced food and explain environmental impacts and challenges about where food comes from. Kids will be able to connect with their natural surroundings and learn about caring for the environment in communities near and far.

Date: Saturday, April 18, 2009
Time: 10am – 4pm
Cost: Admission is free. Parking for the show is $12, and complimentary shuttles will deliver guests from the parking lot to the main entrance.
