"I don't eat peas, but I like to listen to them."
Anthony
Kids Up Front participant
Meet Anthony, Kids Up Front Participant. A child who didn't always have the opportunity to enjoy everything our city has to offer. Thanks to Northlands and their support of the Kids Up Front program, Anthony and many other children like him are able to experience a variety of sporting and entertainment events, like the Black Eyed Peas concert. Kids Up Front is just one of many worthwhile organizations that Northlands has supported for years, because they believe that community comes first.

Anthony (with help from mother Lisa)
What's your connection to Northlands?
Mom: Cindy from the Family Centre got us involved with Northlands and their great program Kids Up Front, which has helped the children experience things they couldn't experience before.
What's your favourite Northlands moment or experience?
My favourite experience with Kids Up Front was seeing the Black Eyed Peas concert. I've never really seen them in person before so it was really great!
What's the first concert you attended at Northlands?
Black Eyed Peas!
Lisa: Anthony had the opportunity to bring a friend with him to see the Black Eyed Peas concert. It meant a lot to both of them.
What has been your favourite Northlands moment or experience?
My favourite moment with Northlands was seeing the Black Eyed Peas concert because me and my friend had never seen a concert like that before. The effects were amazing, and it was a really, really cool experience.
Corn Dogs or Mini Donuts?
Mini doughnuts because they are small and sweet and delicious and make the perfect snack.
How has Northlands changed your life?
Northlands gave me the opportunity to see concerts and games that I never got to see before. And they let me bring a friend too.
What is the one thing about Northlands you want to tell Edmontonians that they might not know?
Lisa: What I'd like to let Edmontonians know about Northlands is that they are investing in our future—our children. Everybody needs to feel like they're a part of something. Through programs like Kids up Front, Northlands is helping children experience more of the great things our city has to offer which makes them feel like they are a part of the community.
