Northlands addresses inaccurate claims regarding alternate arena proposal EDMONTON, AB – The following statement has been released by Northlands Chair of the Board, Andy Huntley, to clarify inaccurate claims that the organization is proceeding with an alternate arena proposal on the existing Northlands site.
“We feel it’s important to clear up any confusion regarding inaccurate reports that have been made in the media recently. Northlands is not pursuing an alternate arena proposal on our site and we continue to support the vision for a downtown arena that is financially viable and in the best interest of the entire community.”
“Northlands will continue to play a leadership role in the pivotal next steps of this process. We are an integral partner in the development of a new sports and entertainment complex for Edmonton.”
