Northlands Announces New Board of Directors and Officers

EDMONTON, AB – Following the 2008 Annual General Meeting held on Monday, April 27th, Northlands is pleased to announce the new Board Directors elected to a three-year term and the elected Officers of the Board:

ELECTED AS OFFICERS
Andrew Huntley – Chair
Andrew Huntley is the Vice-President of Mortgage Investments with AIMCo in Edmonton. AIMCo invests more than $70 billion on behalf of public sector pension, endowment and special purpose funds. At Northlands, Mr. Huntley has served in the role of Chair of the Facilities Planning and Volunteer Coordinating Committees in addition to his past service on the Audit and Finance and Executive committees. Andy is active in his community and has served as a board member for the Capital Health Authority and the Greater Edmonton Foundation, a trustee for the University of Alberta Hospital Foundation, and was a founding director of the Real Estate Council of Alberta. He earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta and a Master of Business Administration from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
John Windwick – First Vice-Chair
John Windwick is the Vice President of Marketing at ATB Financial. He serves on Northlands Executive Committee, Finance and Audit Committee and chairs the Public Relations and Volunteer Coordinating Committees. He is active in the community and has volunteered for numerous charities and organizations: John is in his third year as the Commissioner for Canadian Finals Rodeo (Governing Body of the CFR) and, he has been involved in numerous groups and volunteer committees in Edmonton such as: 65 Roses Sports Committee (Cystic Fibrosis), Kinsmen Club of Edmonton, Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, World Masters Games (golf committee), and was the Chair of the TELUS Edmonton Open for 9 years.
Laura Gadowsky – Second Vice-Chair
Laura Gadowsky is President of Gadowsky Special Event Management, specializing in corporate and government meetings, symposiums and sporting event operations. She serves on Northlands Executive Committee, Finance and Audit Committee and Volunteer Coordinating Committees. Laura is currently the director responsible for Edmonton’s Capital EX. She is active in the community and has volunteered for numerous charities and organizations: currently serving as Chair of the Edmonton Rodeo Cowboy’s Benevolent Fund.
