Northlands supports City consultation on arena

We are pleased to support the arena consultation that has just been launched by the City of Edmonton. This is a defining moment in our city’s history and Northlands agrees that talking to Edmontonians about the vision, its funding and its impacts is vital.

All along – from the first discussions about a downtown arena -- Northlands has supported a “Made-in-Edmonton” arena solution. This means a solution that is unique to our circumstances and to our community.

Building an arena in downtown Edmonton is a topic that requires thoughtfulness, creativity and collaboration. In my career, I’ve worked on public private partnership projects that do remarkable things for a community. This is a venue that will shape our city for years to come – and so “getting it right” is paramount. We hope that many diverse Edmonton voices will be heard through this consultation. We look forward to being part of the conversation.
