- Going Green: Northlands has deliberately chosen progressive programs which support recycling initiatives and reduces the volume of waste being transported to landfills. Some examples are cardboard recycling, paper recycling, beverage container recycling, and fluorescent tube recycling. We are striving everyday to reduce our carbon imprint!
- Energy Management: Northlands operates 15 buildings with a combined floor area of almost 140,000 m2 (about the same area as 17 football fields) We have a building automation system which allows full control of the lighting, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. Computer programs have been established so electrical and natural gas equipment in the buildings is automatically turned down or turned off when the building is vacant.
