Northlands has more than 60 volunteer committees that work year round on our signature events and other interesting activities. More than 2,000 people from across Alberta contribute their time, energy and skills as Northlands volunteers, and the numbers continue to grow. Best of all, new opportunities arise each year, so there's always something fresh and exciting to do.

Raffle Seller

Sell tickets to our customers, handle cash and have a friendly and outgoing personality.

Emcee

Introduce speakers from general scripted points. Thank the speakers or presenter at the conclusion of the presentation.

Computer Data Entry

Knowledgeable in the use of basic computer programs. Able to enter data accurately and is detail orientated.

Committee Member

Well organized, team player and able to assist in organizing programs or events.

Livestock Handler

Knowledgeable with the handling of livestock.

Recruiter

An outgoing person who promot es volunteering at fairs and other events.

Volunteer Centre Helper

Must be outgoing, organized, have strong customer service skills and the ability to work in busy situations.

 

 

Becoming a Volunteer

You can get involved as a Northlands volunteer at an early age. Volunteers between the ages of 12-15 will be partnered with a parent or guardian, while youth volunteers aged 15 years and older can work independently.

  • Download and print our Volunteer Minors Application Form (pdf). Completed forms must be dropped off at our Volunteer Services Office and must be accomplanied by the Parent/Guardian.
